Pastor David's poems. The Lord guides our hearts in many diverse ways so that perhaps we can express what we feel within and come to know ourselves and share our understanding with others. In many ways it is a revealing of our deepest selves in a relationship with God, Christ, and our neighbors, in an act of love... |
IMAGINE
Imagine is a picture, ‘tis a figment of thou mind, Though we seem to choose and always loose, it can, also be seen by the blind. By this my Friend I mean, Imagine is a dream we keep hidden, In our head, that only we ourselves can see, when all else is said. ‘Tis the hope we can see, but never touch, And it has often been used as a lonely crutch. And if you ask me, my brother, why ‘tis so, I would just Imagine, cause we really never know. We Imagine this, we Imagine that, But without real true logic, we don’t really know where we’re at. We Imagine of our yesterdays, that are past, but never forgotten. And when sad the taste lingers on like an apple that’s gone rotten. We Imagine of our tomorrows, and the happiness that we hope for. We Imagine how it was and how ‘tis today. As we Imagine to change what happened in each and every way. We can Imagine of being in wealth and having it all to ourselves. We can envy the beauty of others, by Imagining ‘tis our own. Because we’ve all felt the coldness of having to be alone. And this by Friends, I tell you, these final words I speak. That if we just sit and Imagine, we shall never find what we seek!
