OCEAN GATE SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH

Established in 1954 and is a member of Crescent Bay Southern Baptist Association of Greater Los Angeles Baptist Convention.

A small country/family-style, Bible-driven church.   Our Director of Missions describes us as "A country church in the city."  Many of our songs have a country flavor.

We watch out for one another with moral support - whether it's our own congregation or our on-site Spanish church.  - Ocean Gate Centro Christiano "YESHUR."   Centro Christiano occupies the upstairs portion of our building.  Our kitchen-equipped meeting hall, is shared.

We enjoy having social events: Monthly Fellowship Breakfasts; an annual chili cook-off; music jamborees, inviting other churches to participate; special music for special occasions, such as holidays.

We hold adult and children's Sunday school classes at 9:30 a.m.  Our services begin at 11:00 a.m.  Bible study is held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings.  On occasion we combine services with our Spanish church.
